Brand YOUth’s 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurial Awards is an awards program that celebrates outstanding Guyanese entrepreneurs who are under the age of forty. They are passionate visionaries and innovators, inspiring others and giving back to their communities.
Eligibility Guidelines
The Nominee
- Young achiever who is actively engaged in remarkable, impactful work in business, such as Trading, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Technology, Art, Entertainment, Health & Fitness, Social Activism, Fashion, Beauty, Education, Law, etc., as well as in community.
- Must be under the age of 40 up to December 31, 2020. In the case of entities with multiple co-founders, ALL co-founders must also be under the age of 40.
- Must be a Guyanese citizen.
- Must have created and/or work in a leadership role in the business under consideration for at least one (1) year.
- Must not have previously received this award.
The Business
- Must be legally registered in Guyana.
- Can be any size, headquartered and operated within Guyana for at least the last three (3) years.
- Can be in any sector, private, public or not-for-profit.
- Must have a demonstrated track record of scalability, with reasonable long-term prospects.
The Vision
- Must be innovative, either offering a new product or service in Guyana, or a different means of operation in an existing segment.
The Impact
- Demonstrated change agent, reflected through social media, community influence and/or market adjustments.
- Readily available testimonials (2) from clients, business partners, investors or beneficiaries.
